Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine
The Anesthesia Research Cluster Grant opportunity aims to foster interdisciplinary, multi-site collaboration among clinicians, scientists, and trainees within and beyond to enhance the quality, productivity, and real-world impact of the department's research program. We aim to do this by supporting researchers from our department and beyond to come together and collaborate to further their research interests and goals.
Eligibility
This grouping should contain at least one scientist/investigator whose primary university affiliation is as a faculty member of the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. This person should play a central/leading role in this grouping. It will include scientists, clinicians, and other researchers from multiple sites/departments around the University of Toronto. Meet in person on at least a quarterly basis. It allows established researchers and researchers-in-training to present research in progress to the cluster with constructive peer review. The supervision and mentorship structure for postgraduate trainees has been identified. We produce an annual report for the departmental newsletter and are willing to present the group's work at citywide departmental research events. Optionally, we would encourage (but not mandate) clusters to be able to peer review each other’s work at the Grant development stage as well as at the stage write-up.
